The Deep Hope Institute helps people discover and express their Spirit-inspired voice for the cause of justice, compassion and sustainability.
At this pivotal moment in history, when environmental, political, and economic upheaval threaten society's future, we stand for the hopeful possibility of renewal. If individuals accept and act upon their own responsibility for the welfare of the global community, previously unimagined social innovations may emerge.
Our abiding sense of hope proceeds from three basic understandings:
We affirm the primary vocation of every individual and institution, believing they are created and called by a Spirit within and beyond to serve the greater good.

We embrace the possibility of redemption, believing that intentional change in individual action has the power to transform organizations and institutions, so that vocation may be more fully served.

The Deep Hope Institute fosters spiritually-informed social change in the following ways:
The Deep Hope Fellowship, a year long learning community invites and equips leaders to embrace the challenge of shaping a just global society.

The Deep Hope Contempation and Action Tank, a bi-annual convening of leaders to consider policy regarding a seemingly intractable social issue from a contemplative perspective. A Spirit-inspired dream of the future, combined with dialogue from a posture of open receptivity will allow socially innovative possibilities to emerge.

The Deep Hope Sojourn, an annual immersion trip to areas where people experience various forms of oppression, creates opportunity for participants to receive wisdom from those who live "on the margins" that can inspire and inform action for justice.

The Deep Hope Institute also specifically encourages members of the Christian Church to explore the social implications of answering Jesus' call to discipleship.
The Gathering for Renewal and Action is an annual conference providing opportunity for learning and reflection with a noted theologian presenting in the area of Christianity's call to confront the forces of domination and injustice. An expected outcome of each gathering is an organized public witness planned by participants.

Deepening Discipleship Weekends provide Christians opportunity to reflect on what it means for them personally to follow Jesus, who stood for justice and compassion against the forces of empire.
