In the context of the vision of Deep Hope -a global future marked by a joyous and just, distribution of earth’s resources, inspired by the awareness that we are all one family – the Sojourn seeks to take people to a setting that can inspire our hearts and deepen our commitment to become co-creators of a just global community.
The Sojourn is an annual event that invites people on a 7 to 10 day immersion in a place steeped in the work of peace, justice and sustainability.
During the sojourn, as we immerse ourselves in the stories and struggles of a particular people and place our compassion and the bonds of affection with our global family will both deepen and grow stronger.
By becoming witnesses to struggles, triumphs and stories of our global neighbors we will become more ardent advocates for justice, peace and sustainability at home and in the broader world community. The sojourn will also turn us into storytellers. As we return home, the Spirit of the people and the land we sojourned with, will inspire us to tell stories that speak of struggle, hope and love. Upon telling these stories we participate in the weaving together of the global family while inspiring those who listen to join us in the work of justice peace and sustainability
Some of the regions we wish to visit are:
Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, El Salvador, Jerusalem, New Orleans,
Johannesburg, South Africa, Tijuana, Mexico Yakima WA, and Zambia
